I cannot thank Dr. Ketan Pai enough for his incredible care during my father’s recent health crisis. My father had significant stones in both kidneys, and the road to recovery seemed daunting. Dr. Pai planned the surgeries perfectly, starting with the left kidney. Mid-treatment, we noticed a lesion on my father’s tongue. Dr. Pai’s sharp clinical eye saved us—he didn’t just focus on urology; he guided us toward a biopsy and connected us with oncologist Dr. Vinod Gore. This led to a successful surgery for what turned out to be a serious issue. Dr. Pai eventually finished the right kidney treatment with the same precision he started with. My father is now healthy and stone-free. Having consulted other doctors initially, I can honestly say Dr. Pai’s planning and execution are second to none. For anyone in search of a top-tier urologist, I highly recommend Dr. Ketan Pai. I live outside of India, and I was visiting India to meet my family and friends. I was already undergoing treatment for BPH, but while I was in India, I had a urine retention issue and had to rush for immediate hospitalisation. On Wednesday, I met a very senior and renowned urologist in Pune, but due to some reason, I could not undergo the procedure with him, so he recommended Dr Ketan Pai. I called Dr Pai, and he immediately agreed to meet me the same evening. After meeting with Dr Pai, he agreed that I had to undergo a TURP procedure to get rid of the catheter and relief from BPH. He explained the procedure, benefits and side effects. I agreed to undergo the surgery ASAP so I can travel back to my country of residence. As per Dr Pai’s recommendations, I got myself hospitalised that night. The next day, Thursday, Dr Pai performed the TRUP procedure successfully, and I was released from the hospital on Saturday. On Monday, I had a follow-up appointment with Dr Pai, the catheter was removed, and the relief I felt while passing the urine and after was very satisfying. I travelled back on the following Wednesday. Dr Pai was concerned that I was travelling too quickly after the procedure, but I had to do so, considering my other priorities. He told me all the precautions to take and the medications needed if something goes wrong while I am travelling. Fortunately, everything went as planned. After coming back home, I met my urologist, and he said Dr Pai had done an EXCELLENT job, and he was very happy we chose TURP over any other procedures/methods. I deliberately took more than 6 months to write my review because I wanted to see if there could be any complications or side effects. However, I am extremely happy with Dr Pai’s treatment, and I strongly recommend this doctor.
